Greater Tokyo Area in black and white patterns

A sea of buildings as far as the eye can see. This is what the photographic eye sees in the largest metropolitan area in the world: Greater Tokyo Area.

In sunlight, streets and buildings become rough patterns of shadows. Individual buildings can no longer be recognized in these. Only the high contrast in black and white photography makes these patterns visible. The series of pictures includes shots from the Greater Tokyo Area. Partially taken on the Tokyo Skytree and Roppongi Hills Observatory.
